In the past few months this mindless blog has attracted?? readers from the following countries. When my own family tell me no one reads blogs I will now produce this photo. Thank you, I hope one day an entry (yet to be made) will make your visit worthwhile.
Your reference to John Masefield’s poem reminded me of one of the late Spike Milligan’s observations, thus:
“I must go down to the sea again
the lonely sea and the sky.
I left my vest and socks there
I wonder if they’re dry.”
From “Muses with Milligan”. Polydor records UK. (A long-lost vinyl LP).

Ha ha! Lovely to be reminded of the humour of Milligan and the Goons. It was also closer to Sea-Fever than my entry. Thank you.
